AVPA's Spring Musical celebrates the Culver City Centennial with a revue featuring memorable hits made famous by film and TV produced right here in Culver City. The golden age of musicals from M-G-M's heyday are the centerpieces in a revue that will tell the stories of the movies, personalities, and the songs themselves. There will be five performanc-esat Veterans Memorial Building: March 16, 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. and March 18 and 19 at 1 p.m. There will be hits from M-G-M classicsThe Wizard of Oz, Singin'in the Rain, An American inParis, Annie Get Your gun, The Band Wagon, Gigi, Fame, The Broadway Melody of 1938, and The Pirate. Also featured will be Great American Songbook tunes by Irving Berlin, George & Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart and a few surprises as well. In the talented cast are Skye Apao, Isa Berliner, Ryanne Biernat, Hazel Cupp, Maya Derbise, Jensen Halbert, Erin Hamill, Sequoya Henry, Frances Horwitz, Kari Kishi, Steven Lerner, Darryl McCrary, Annie Melnick, Joey O'Neal, Kacey Oshack, Isabel Parra, Carly Shiever, Dylan Staal, Mika Stambler, Yogi Sylvain, Sarah Toutounchian, Sidney Wallace, and Dillon Zehnder. The creative team includes director Jill Novick, choreographer Julie Carson, music director Tony Spano, technical director and scenic designer Joey Guthman, scenic artist/master carpenter Jack-ie Eppinger, sound Will Schuessler, costume designer Johnnyangel Pineda, stage manager Elise Park, assistant stage managers Gabe Lobet and Brook Francis, and assistant scenic designer Celine Cuadra. Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for seniors, high-school-age students, faculty and staff. CCHS students with ASB and middle-school-age students are $5 and children elementary age and younger are admitted free.
