Westfield Robbery Leaves 90-Year-Old Man Injured

Police are hunting for a suspect in the November 16 attack at Westfield Culver City.

The alleged assault and subsequent robbery happened at 12:20 pm when a 90-year- old male who was seated in the food court of the shopping center had his gold chains ripped from his neck and was thrown to the ground.

While the victim was on the ground the suspect took his wallet and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was subsequently taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The image of the suspect was captured on security cameras.

The suspect is a male African American, approximately 25-30 years of age and approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build.

The Culver City Police Department is urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or knows anything about this crime to contact Detective Brent Arney at 310-253-6347 or the Watch Commander at 310-253-6202.
