College Volleyball Swings Into Gear This Weekend

The USC and UCLA women’s volleyball teams will battle

the University of California and Stanford University at home tonight and Sunday. Both local schools need to win both matches if they expect to stay in the running for the Pac-12 championship.

Right now the Pac-12 title is up for grabs. Six teams, including UCLA and USC are tied for third place with a record of 5-3 and the top two teams, Washington at 6-2 and Washington State at 6-3 are just one game ahead of the third place teams.

USC will play California tonight at 6 p.m. and they face Stanford at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Sundays’ match is Dad and Daughters Day. Both matches will be played at the Galen Center. The Trojans are led by freshman star Khalia Lanier, senior Elise Ruddins and senior Taylor Whittingham. The Trojans are 13-6 overall.

UCLA will battle Stanford tonight at 8 p.m. and face California on Sunday at 12 p.m. Both matches will be played inside Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins are led by Reily Buechler and Claire Felix.
