Nia Garcia warms up for the 100m hurdles

Nia Garcia ran a solid 100m hurdles race in 14.58 seconds which was good enough for fifth place in the early afternoon event. She will be an alternative in the Girls 100m hurdles for next Friday's CIF Masters event which will be held at the same venue.

Hooper had his "A" game running as he finished third in the 100m with a time of 10.67, just .02 from second place and .20 from the top spot. Two hours later he placed second in the Division 2 200m finals when he crossed the finish line at 21.34 seconds.

Hooper only finished .04 out of first place, losing to Ryan Moya-Chapron of Colony High. He qualified for the 200m event in next week's Masters and will be an alternative in the 100m race. Stay tuned.
