A Labor Day Focus on American Workers

August 27, 2015

What would you do if you had only five hours’ notice that your employer was closing his place of business and that you would be out of a job?

In honor of Labor Day, Culver-Palms United Methodist Church will present workers being helped by CLUE-LA (Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice) at its Sunday, September 6, morning service.

Hear what it is really like to work for Walmart, the nation’s largest retailer, and learn about working conditions for the people who prepare meals for the nation’s largest airlines.

The service begins at 10:30 am. Free parking is available behind the building. Culver-Palms UMC is located at 4464 Sepulveda Blvd.

For further information, phone (310) 390-7717.
