Police Release Robbery Suspects Photo

On Monday, January 26 at about 6:15 pm the suspect entered the Zales Jewelry Store inside the Westfield Culver City Mall and asked to see a diamond ring. After the clerk removed the ring from the display case the suspect displayed a hand gun that was in his waistband, grabbed the ring, and threatened to shoot the clerk if she moved.

The suspect then reached over the counter and stole three additional diamond rings before leaving the store. The total value of all four rings is approximately $17,000.

The suspect is also believed to be responsible for the following additional jewelry store robberies:

- On January 23 at 5:40 pm, the suspect committed an armed robbery at a Kevin Jewelers in the city of Torrance.

- On February 27 at 8:35 pm, the suspect committed an armed robbery at a Ben Bridges jewelry store in Redondo Beach.

The suspect is described as a Male African American, 5-3 to 5-6 tall, thin build, late 20s early 30s, white stud earrings, mustache. The suspect is also believed to have a tattoo on the right side of his neck that possibly reads "CALI"

The Culver City Police Department is urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or knows anything about this crime to contact Detective Ryan Thompson at (310) 253-6311 or the Watch Commander at (310) 253-6202.
