PTSA Provides Funding to Culver City High

December 11, 2014

The Culver City High PTSA announces a number of funding awards to vital school and community resources.

• $400 to the CCUSD Backpacks for Kids Program (in addition to our food drive for individual oatmeal or cold cereal packets)

• $250 to the CCHS Nurse's Office for supplies

• $300 to provide hand sanitizer throughout the school

• $1,500 to the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center (located by the high school nurse's office)

• $2,000 to the high school library for the purchase of current best sellers and award winning books

• $1,050 to the College and Career Center for the purchase of both ACT and SAT reference books plus supplies.

• $300 to fund incentives (movie tickets, gift cards, athletic admissions and healthy snacks) for the Freshman and Sophomore Academic Support class

• $1,000 for the CCUSD Sustainability Committee to purchase incentives (hats or t-shirts) for the Green 5 roll out at the high school.

These are some of the ways in which CCHS PTSA is supporting student health and academic achievement. Most of this funding has come from selling graduation caps and gowns, but every fundraiser and every membership helps the PTSA do more for its kids, its teachers and the school community.
