Robbery suspects shown on video just before they allegedly snatched a cell phone from a customer's hand at Westfield Culver City.

Saturday afternoon at about 5:30 a young man grabbed a cell phone from a male customer walking inside the Westfield Culver City Mall.

The customer turned and pursued the alleged thief while his two accomplices followed close behind.

Upon reaching the parking area the man was beaten repeatedly in the face by all three suspects according to the Culver City Police Department. The suspects then escaped before police could arrive.

A mall video camera recorded the theft before and during the robbery. The suspects are described as African-American males between 15-25 years old.

Earlier this year Culver City Police arrested three girls who attacked a 60-year-old woman at Westfield Culver City. The teenage girls, whose ages ranged from 14 to 16, turned themselves in to police after their photos were widely circulated thru the media.

Culver City Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspects in the current robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Bingham at (310) 253-6347 or the Watch Commander (310) 253-6202 after hours.
