Here are some highlights from the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services (PRCS) Commission meeting of September 2, 2014.

At this meeting, the PRCS Commission:

• Elected Laura Stuart as Chair and Scott Zeidman as Vice Chair of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission.

• Formed the Youth Sports Advisory Ad Hoc Subcommittee and appointed Vice Chair Zeidman and Commissioner Garland as members.

• Continued a discussion on selecting a topic for, forming, and appointing members to a "Community Conversation – Topic #6" Ad Hoc Subcommittee to the October 7, 2014 PRCS Commission meeting.

• Heard Updates from those members of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission Ad Hoc Subcommittee and representative appointees to various outside Associations and City Committees who had new information to share with the full Commission.

• Adjourned the meeting in memory of the previous Chair of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, Rick Hudson, noting that his extensive community service, generosity, kindness and fun-loving spirit will be greatly missed by the members of the Commission and the Culver City community.
