A memorial service and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday August 16, at the Little League field located in Culver City's Bill Botts, honoring Rick Hudson.

Hudson passed away unexpectedly on August 9 while at his family ranch in New Mexico. The salutation to Mr. Hudson starts at 6:30 pm, followed directly afterward by refreshments and further remembrances at Garden Room at Culver City's Veteran's Auditorium located at the corner of Culver Boulevard and Overland Avenue.

In addition to being the successful owner of Culver Glass, Hudson was a tireless advocate for the young people of Culver City. He was a high school coach, Parks Commissioner and active member of the Exchange Club.

Saturday's Celebration is open to the public. This commemoration and remembrance on behalf of Hudson is organized by the Exchange Club of Culver City. If you've got a photo or memory of Rick Hudson, the organizers encourage you to share it.

Rick is survived by his wife Terri; his daughter Cassie and her husband Keith Evans, Jr .; daughter Heather and son Travis along with his grandchildren Keith Evans III, Aundrea Lynn and Layla Marie.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family urges instead that donations be made payable in the name of Rick Hudson to the Charitable Foundation of the Exchange Club of Culver City where a youth scholarship in Rick's name will be established.

Donations should be sent to The Charitable Foundation of the Exchange Club at 10801 Washington Blvd., Culver City CA 90232.
