After several votes the four members of the West Basin Board of Directors were unable to agree on a replacement for the board seat held by Ed Little who resigned in May.

After several votes the board vote 4-0 to leave the position vacant pending the November election.

Among the candidates were former Culver City Mayor and Councilman Steven Rose and former council candidate Steven Murray.
