Library Closing Is Rescinded

Project Will Last One Year

The Library Centennial Renovation Celebration Project was to commence at the Julian Dixon Library in Culver City on Monday, April 21 for one year. Staff at the branch library was informed on Tuesday that the library renovations had either been canceled or delayed.

Included in the project were additional electrical outlets, new lighting, new paint, new carpeting and new furniture throughout the library. A new circulation and information desk with new self-check machines will also be installed.

According to library spokesperson Barbara Custen the closing will occur sometime in June.
