Former Culver Resident Marianne Tooley Dies

Marianna (McGaughey) Tooley, formerly of Culver City, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2014 in Mobile, AL.

She was born in Worland, Wyoming on August 15, 1934 to the late Charles and Mary McGaughey. Marianna is pre-deceased by her parents and her sister, Patsy.

Marianna attended high school at Pharr-SanJuan-Alamo high school in Alamo, Tx and Little Jolley School of nursing in Houston. Marianna later became a Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She was a dedicated nurse and spent her career providing excellent care for her patients.

Marianna loved animals and was passionate about helping animals in need. She worked with several animal rescue groups including efforts to spay and neuter feral cats.

She is survived by her four children from her previous marriage to Douglas Files: D. Daniel Files (Kathy), Ann Butz (Damian), Susan Files Luse, Charles Files (Nancy) and 13 grandchildren: Kristina Bartos (Justin), Kelly Files, Danny Files (Pauline), Kaitlin Files, Ashley Shaffern (Justin), Tara Files, Shelby Butz, Mary Luse, Jon Luse, Carly Files, Melissa Luse, Erin Files, Holly Files and a great-grandson: Zakary Bartos

Marianna will be interred in Gig Harbor, WA alongside her parents and a private Memorial Service will be held with her family in Pennsylvania.
