Culver High Boosters Set Date for Annual Fundraiser

February 27, 2014

Are you looking for a fun social evening with a Las Vegas flavor? The Culver City High Booster Club invites local residents and surrounding community members to their 12th annual "Casino Night" fundraiser on Saturday, March 15 from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

This entertaining event will be held at Vets Auditorium and the money raised goes toward Culver High clubs and athletics.

The boosters will transform the auditorium into a Vegas-style casino complete with gambling tables, chips, and slot machines. Tickets are $35/person and can be purchased through any student-athlete or the booster club website (cchsboosters.com).

The event features a silent and live auction along with raffle prizes. A disc jockey will supply music and the boosters will provide appetizers and a dessert bar.

Guests can also purchase drink tickets as well as special $5 tickets for the slot tournament and raffle with the grand prize being an authentic video poker machine. The club will also set up an adjoining room and offer child chair at $15/child.

"We encourage all Centaur parents, alumni, and fans as well as community members to come out and have a good time playing blackjack, craps, and roulette," said Culver sports announcer/statistician Greg Dynabursky.

"The booster club works hard all year and this night is their biggest event. I have hosted this fundraiser since its inception and watched it continually grow into one of the best local events. Previous attendees have always had a great time and look forward to this affair year after year."

The Rotunda Room will have a multitude of silent auction items and the booster club will be able to accept all forms of payment. School teams and clubs produced fun gift baskets and guests will exchange their gambling chips for raffle tickets and must be present to claim their prize.

Donated prizes for the raffle and auctions are still being accepted as well as food and drink donations and table sponsorships. Anyone interested in donation or sponsorship can contact the CCHS Booster Club through their website or Athletic Director Tom Salter.
