Our dear husband, father, brother, mentor, teacher, and friend passed away peacefully on Christmas Day with family by his side. Glen Edward Adair was born in Santa Monica, on January 6, 1944. He graduated from Culver City High received a B.S. from California State University, Northridge; and an M.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno.

From 1963-1966, Glen served in the US Army Air Corps and assisted in the development of the Harrier Aircraft during the Vietnam War. He subsequently worked as a pilot for American Airlines, coached football at West Los Angeles and Pierce Colleges, and most memorably, influenced and inspired thousands of students, teachers and parents as the principal of Owyhee Combined School, Elko high school and Carson high school in Nevada.

Recognized as "Outstanding K-12 School Administrator" by the University of Nevada in 2002, Glen later retired from the Nevada educational system in 2006 and became the Director of the American School in Durango, Mexico, for the following two years.

In 2008, Glen and his beloved wife Kathy began their retirement together, spending time between the Massachusetts Berkshires and Mazatlan, Mexico. Glen enjoyed playing golf, fishing, boating, cooking, teaching, football, traveling and exploring the world. Above all, Glen loved to spend time with his two sons, Ryan and Jedd, of whom he was tremendously proud.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Linda Adair; his two wonderful sons, Ryan and Jedd; his sister Jean Ann Botana; nieces Lisa Schwartz, Adrienne and Allison Botana, and Kaitlin and Lauren Swan; and his faithful canine companion, Pooter.

On Saturday, January 4, 2014, at noon the family invites all to attend a chapel service at the historic Pittsfield Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Adair home at 36 Valentine Road, Pittsfield, MA, 01201.

After the funeral service, the Adair family will donate flowers to the ill and elderly. Flowers may be sent to Pittsfield Cemetery, 203 Wahconah Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Memorial donations may be made to the Carson high school Scholarship Fund, 1111 N. Saliman Road, Carson City, NV 89701, which supports furthering the education of disadvantaged students.
