November 7, 2013

The Central City Association (CCA) of Los Angeles announces its endorsements for California State Senate District 27 and Assembly District 54.

CCA's endorsements are:

• State Senate District 27 (Los Angeles, Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu, Topanga, Santa Clarity, Westlake Village) – Bob Hertzberg. Hertzberg understands the role of government in the private sector and how it can help or hinder its progress. His private sector experience, understanding of the issues, and belief in California as a beacon of economic prosperity, makes him the best choice for State Senator

• Assembly District 54 (Los Angeles, Culver City, Inglewood, Ladera Heights, View Park-Windsor Hills) – Sebastian Ridley-Thomas. Ridley-Thomas understands the need for pragmatism in Sacramento in order to encourage job creation in California. His commitment to making California business-friendly makes him CCA's choice for AD54.

"We are pleased to give our support to these candidates who we believe will put California's needs first," said Carol E. Schatz, President and CEO of CCA. "We need representatives who will advocate and implement common sense policies that will help provide important jobs and economic growth to our state."

The special election for Assembly District 54 will be held on December 3, 2013. The general election will be held on June 4, 2014.
