It took two ballots but the Culver City Democratic Club endorsed Current School Board member Karlo Silbiger and newcomer Claudia Vizcarra.

The group made no endorsement for the third seat.

After interviewing six of the seven candidates Silbiger easily won endorsement with 68 votes. Vizcarra was endorsed on the second vote.

School Board member and current president Kathy Paspalis was endorsed four years ago but failed to garner the required votes to secure endorsement this time.

Club rules require anyone seeking endorsement be a register Democrat.
