Democratic Club Plans School Board Endorsements

The Culver City Democratic Club General Meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 11, will feature a forum for Democratic candidates for the Culver City School Board election.

The school board election will be held on Tuesday, Nov.5, to determine three seats on the school board.

The following Democratic candidates have been invited to the forum: Steven Mark Levin, Kathy Paspalis, Karlo Silbiger, Vernon L. Taylor, Claudia Vizcarra and Robert Zirgulis. Each candidate will make an opening statement followed by a Q&A session from the audience

The club will then hold a vote to decide who will receive the club's endorsement. To win endorsement, a candidate must receive at least 60 percent of the vote in the endorsement election.

The meeting is open to the public, however only members of the Democratic Club will be eligible to vote.

Refreshments will be served starting at 6:45 pm and the meeting will start at 7.

The CCDC General Meeting will be held at the Veterans Memorial Building, Rotunda Room, 4117 Overland Ave., at the intersection of Culver Blvd. and Overland Ave.
