Body Found in Tellefson Park

Culver City police were called after a local resident reported seeing a dead body in Tellefson Park shortly after 8 am Tuesday. Police have initially called the death an apparent suicide.

Neither the age nor the gender of the victim has been released.

The Culver City Police Department released the following statement, "At this time, the identity of the decedent is not being released, although the investigation is ongoing, all indications are that this was an apparent suicide."

Tellefson Park, located on Washington Place near Sepulveda Boulevard, has a long history of problems with drug users.
