Here are some highlights from the City Council meeting of August 26. At this meeting, the City Council:

• Adopted a Resolution Approving the Certification of Conformance with the Congestion Management Program (CMP) for Los Angeles County and Adopted the CMP Local Development Report for 2013.

• Designated the 2013 EarthFestLA as a City-Sponsored Event and Approved a Memorandum of Understanding.

• Discussed Regulating Smoking in Multi-Unit Housing and Provided Direction to Staff to return to the City Council at an upcoming meeting to further discuss this subject.
