Democratic Club to Host Senate Candidates
The Culver City Democratic Club will host the two Democratic candidates for the 26th State Senate seat special election at their August 14 meeting at 7 pm for a candidates' forum.
A special election will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, to determine who will fill the seat vacated by Curren Price Jr., who was recently elected to the Los Angeles City Council.
The two Democrats running are Mervin Evans and Assemblymember Holly J. Mitchell. Each candidate will present an opening and closing statement and the audience will have a chance to ask questions.
The meeting will be held at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Rotunda Room, 4117 Overland Ave., corner of Overland Ave. and Culver Blvd. and is open to the public
