Culver Officers rescue dog, Arrest Owner

Thomas Naylor, 62, remains in jail after being arrested for felony animal cruelty, drunk driving and driving without a license.

On Friday Culver City Police officers rescued a pitbull named ‘Cruiser’ after Naylor, his owner, allegedly locked the dog in the truck then threw him to the sidewalk. Naylor reportedly fled the scene and was arrested a short time later near Washington and LaCienega Blvds.

Officers took the dog to Advanced Critical Care where he is reportedly doing well. The facility is looking for a new home for him.

Naylor is being held on $170,000 bail.
