For June 4 through June 10

Vandalism:

On June 4 at 11 am a victim called the police department to report he was a victim of vandalism. The victim said he parked and locked his 2010 Acura in the 4200 block of Jasmine Avenue on June 3 at 2 pm. When he returned the next day at 10 am he discovered rear window had been shattered by an unknown object.

Assault:

On June 4 at 7:30 pm officers met with a victim at the police department. The victim told the officers she had been battered by a suspect in the 3800 block of Watseka Avenue. The victim said she was driving to pick up her husband when she heard a vehicle honking its’ horn at her. She slowed down and a vehicle pulled next to her and the driver started to yell at her. She eventually pulled over and the suspects approached her and produced a knife and threatend her. She attempted to call the police and the suspect slapped her phone out of her hand. The suspect then fled the area. The suspect was described as a male Black, 6-0, medium build, and wearing a white shirt.


Car Burglary:

On June 4 at 10 pm a victim called the police department to report his 2007 PT Cruiser had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the area of Venice Boulevard and Albright Avenue on June 3 at 6 pm. When he returned the next day he discovered his window down and his property missing.

Commercial Burglary:

On June 7 at 9:15 am officers responded to the 13300 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them the following; she had locked and secured the location on June 6 at 6:30 pm. When she returned at 8:30 am the next morning she discovered the front door was unlocked. She entered the location and found the businesses property missing.


Garage Burglary:

On June 7 at 5:05 pm officers responded to the 4300 block of Duquesne Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; on June 2 at 6:30 am he went to his garage and discovered the door open. He went inside and discovered his property missing. The victim is unsure he had locked the garage the night before.
