Ideas Worth Spreading – Coming to Culver City

 


Culver City’s most impassioned TEDx enthusiasts will come together on June 23 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, to listen to and discuss Ideas Worth Spreading.

Speakers will share their passions on a variety of topics ranging from innovations in education, to health, technology, the arts and beyond. The event will be live webcast by Livestream to its 24,000 TEDx followers and will offer the Culver City community an opportunity to share its passion and ideas with communities around the world.

The independently produced event, operated under a license from TED, is aimed at creating dialogue as well as giving people a forum to share their passions, ideas and experiences.

TEDxCulverCity is a collaboration between some of the city’s most innovative companies, organizations, ideas and residents, working together both behind the scenes and on stage, to create a dynamic and engaging event for the city.

Live Speakers and performers include Sylvana Barrett, Artist / Historian on the topic of Historic Artist's Materials &Techniques.

Clara Lisa Kabbaz, President of the Lycée Français of Los Angeles.

Terry McCarthy, President and CEO of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council.

Mike Romey, Head of Pipeline at ZOIC Studios.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives.
