WLA Wins Two State Track Titles

 


Following their fourth consecutive Western State Conference Championship for the women and three So. Cal. Meet wins, West Los Angeles College advanced to State where they ended their season with two State titles.

For the men, Alex Amankhaw took the title in the 800 meters. Jonika Baker won the 400 meter hurdles for the Lady Wildcats. She also took thirdin the 100 hurdles. This is the sixth straight year the Wildcats placed in the top 10 in California’s team standings.

OTHER WINS - WOMEN:

2nd Place, 4x100 Relay: Jonika Baker, Shadonna Hunter, Mariah Richards-Maynard, Aysia

3rd Place, 4x400 Relay: Jonika Baker, Chelsee McCullough, Susanna Usher, Jasmine Waters

2nd High Jump: Aundrea Yancy

OTHER WINS - MEN:

4th Place, 4 x 400 Relay: Alex Amankwah, Franz Palacio, Will Lacy, DJ Richardson
