For April 30 through May 13
On April 30 at 5:05 pm a victim called the police department to report her 2008 Lexus was burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 8600 block of Washington Boulevard at 9:30 am. When she returned at 5 pm she discovered the driver’s side passenger window had been broken out and her property missing.
On May 1 at 2:30 pm a victim called the police department to report she was a victim of forgery. The victim said she was reviewing her bank statement and noticed her account was overdrawn. She went to the bank and discovered two of her checks had been altered and cashed by an unknown person.
On May 2 at 3 pm a victim came to the police department to report she was a victim of grand theft. The victim said she was approached by a subject in the 4100 block of Elenda Street on May 1 at 3 pm. The subject told her he was fixing a neighbor’s fence and would she like an estimate to repair her fence. The victim showed the subject her fence and left her home. At 9 pm she discovered her property was missing in her home.
On May 4 at 7:15 pm officers responded to the 5600 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a theft investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them the following; he was working when he saw a male Black, 5-10, 160-170 lbs, wearing a white shirt and black jeans running toward the exit. The suspect had removed a tablet from the display case and fled the location.
On May 5 at 2:55 pm officers responded to the 12600 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she was approached by the suspect who entered the location and produced a handgun and demanded the money. The victim, fearing for her safety. gave the suspect the cash and he fled the location. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, medium build, black hair, wearing a blue jacket and in his 20’s.
On May 7 at 9:30 am a victim called the police department to report he was a victim of a forgery. The victim said he received a call from his bank asking if he had made a recent purchase at a Home Depot in Perris, California. The victim said no, the bank told him that an unknown suspect had used his credit card information and made a purchase with his account information.
On May 7 at 4:05 pm a victim called the police department to report that unknown suspect(s) had access her business account information and used that information to make fraudulent purchases.
On May 11 at 8 am a victim called the police department to report his 1988 Nissan had been burglarized. He said he parked and locked his car on May 9 near the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Hollow Corner Road at 8 pm. When he returned on May 11 at 8 am he discovered the rear passenger window had been shattered and his property missing.
On May 11 at 10:30 am a victim called the police department to report his 2009 Audi had been vandalized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 5900 block of Tellefson Road on May 10 at 4 pm. When he returned the next day at 10:30 am he discovered the driver’s side window had been shattered.
On May 13 at 11 am a victim called the police department to report she was missing money from her office. The victim said that a co-worker left some money in her desk on May 4. When she went to retrieve the money it was missing. The business is in the 9800 block of Washington Boulevard.
