April 23 through 30

Theft from a building

On April 23 at 2:30 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report his phone was stolen. The victim said he was in the 10900 block of Washington Blvd. at 9:15 a.m. and left his phone in the company’s restroom and when he returned a few minutes later his phone was missing.

Vandalism

On April 25 at 2:20 p.m. officers responded to the 9000 block of Lindblade St. regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them he saw a co-worker throw an object out of a vehicle causing damage to the object and the parking lot.

Forgery

On April 25 at 3 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report his business was a victim of forgery. The victim said, he had a customer’s check in his business and discovered the check missing. He then received a call from the bank saying the checked had been cashed. The bank sent him a copy of the cashed check and the signature had been forged.

Assault

On April 26 at 5:43 p.m. officers responded to the 3500 block of Schaeffer St. regarding a battery investigation. The officers met the victim who told them she and her boyfriend got into a verbal argument and that eventually lead to him grabbing her and then striking her.

Assault

On April 29 at 3 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report she was a victim of a battery. The victim said she was in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Blvd. on April 25 at 1 a.m. when she was involved in argument when the suspect struck her the face. The suspect was described as a male Black, 5’4, stocky build, wearing a blue baseball hat and blue shirt.
