Culver Caregiver Wins Scholarship

24Hr HomeCare announcesy that Jessica Parel, a caregiver with the company’s Culver City location, has been awarded the Joan Baier Garland Home Care Nursing Scholarship granted by the California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH.

This leading statewide home care association has more than 584 members and 1,031 offices.

“We’re very proud of Jessica,” said Tyner Brenneman-Slay, co-founder of 24Hr HomeCare. “She embodies what 24Hr HomeCare is all about: high-quality, compassionate home care.”

Each year, CAHSAH awards the Joan Baier Garland Home Care Nursing Scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to a student who is in good standing in either an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing or Masters Nursing Program, and who has demonstrated a commitment to homecare and the community.

Jessica Parel is a caregiver with the 24Hr HomeCare Culver City office and will use the scholarship to continue pursuing her bachelor’s degree in nursing at West Coast University, Los Angeles.

“I’m excited for this opportunity, and very grateful for my experience with 24Hr HomeCare,” said Parel. “Working here has better prepared me for the future through being compassionate and giving me the experience in providing quality care for people of all ages each and every day I work.””
