Applications Being Accepted For Fiesta Committee

Applications are now being accepted for the Fiesta La Ballona Committee. The City Council formalized the Fiesta La Ballona Committee as a City Council appointed committee on December 10, 2012 to support the planning and promotion of Fiesta La Ballona, the annual City of Culver City event celebrating the diversity and heritage of the Heart of Screenland.

Additional information about the event may be found at http://www.fiestalaballona.org. Interested persons are welcome to submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office no later than 5 pm on Thursday, February 14.

WHO: The Fiesta La Ballona Committee shall consist of seven members appointed by the City Council. Members need not be Culver City residents, however Culver City residents and owners/operators of Culver City-based businesses are encouraged to apply.

WHAT: Application forms for the newly formalized Fiesta la Ballona Committee can be downloaded from the City’s website at http://www.culvercity.org. Or call the City Clerk’s office at 310-253-5851to have an application mailed to you.

WHERE: You may submit your application in four ways:

(1) Personal delivery to the City Clerk’s Office

(2) Fax to 310-253-6010

(3) Via e-mail to city.clerk@culvercity.org

(4) Via USPS to the City Clerk’s Office

WHEN: The deadline for application submittal is 5 pm on Thursday, February 14.

Applications must be received by this deadline. Postmarks are not accepted. Applications filed by fax or e-mail must be received by the City

Clerk’s Office before this deadline.

WHY: The Fiesta la Ballona Committee shall advise and make recommendations to the City Council and the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services on policies and issues related to the City’s annual Fiesta La Ballona event, as defined in the Committee’s Bylaws.
