New Year’s Eve Crash Damages Culver Church

At 12:30 a.m. New Years Eve Culver City Police and fire responded to a crash at Seventh-Day Adventist Church,at 11828 West Washington Blvd.

Firefighters attempted to locate the driver of the silver sedan but according to police reports he had fled the scene.

"We did an exhaustive search, we haven't found any victims."

The damage to the church was confined to the pastor's office

"There's some significant damage, not to the church itself, but what appears to be an adjacent meeting room," Syverson said.

The hole in the outer wall was visible and was later boarded up.

The Church is located on Culver City’s Westside near Atlantic Avenue just East of Inglewood Avenue.

Culver City Police are continuing their search for the driver.
