Culver Elks Participate in Scholarship Program

The Elks National Foundation gives $ 2,296,000 to high school seniors each year who are college bound. Five hundred scholarships are award at the National Level.

These range from $1000 a year for four years to $ 15,000 each year for four years. Half of these are boys and half are girls. Applications are awarded on Scholarship, Leadership and Financial need.

Each application is judged at the lodge level, then to the district level and on to State. Awards are given to all completed and qualified applications at the all levels. Each must have the counsels sealed report and include the seven semester classes and signed by the counselor of your school.

The deadline for these applications to be delivered to your local lodge by 6 pm on December 7. There are six lodges in the South Central Coast District, Santa Monica, Westchester, Culver City, Redondo Beach, Torrance and Gardena.
