Circus Vargas Returns to Culver

October 31, 2012

Circus Vargas, one of the largest animal-free circuses in the nation, has returned to the Westfield Culver City shopping center’s parking lot for the first of nine shows that will begin tonight and run through Monday, Nov. 5.

The all-new show has a “Broadway theme,” with flashy new costumes and songs that were written and scored specifically for Circus Vargas. For the first time, a human cannonball will join the cast that includes the famous Flying Tabares trapeze artists and other aerial performers, clowns and jugglers, acrobatic tumblers, and several other trademarked acts.

Each show also includes the Garcia Thrill Riders, whose death-defying motorcycle stunts inside a large steel ball brought audiences to their feet when the Big Top came to Culver City last year.

Ticket prices for seats with good views start at $25 for adults and $20 for children between the ages of two and 10. Westfield’s Customer Service desk is offering free coupons for $5 off each admission, as are several local retailers.

For show times and ticket information, call (877) 468-3861 or visit http://www.circusvargas.com. After the Culver City performances, the circus will move to the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance for a run from Nov. 8 through Nov. 19.
