Culver City Observer -

Dear Editor

September 18, 2012

As a parent of two middle schoolers, I know personally the impact that the funds raised, and carefully distributed, by the Culver City Education Foundation have. As a school board member serving during the worst fiscal crisis since the Great Depression, I know how important our local community has been to our schools, year after year in responding to our students’ needs in the face of relentless cuts from our state and federal governments.

Our local print and online news sources have been full of requests to support CCEF’s All for One campaign, and I write simply to add my voice to that chorus.

Every Culver City Unified School District parent, every Culver City homeowner, renter and/or business owner should step up and donate to this (tax deductible) cause. It’s an investment that will come back to our community – and thus you, too – tenfold, by providing high quality programs, technology, tutoring, and equipment to all our CCUSD schools.

It’s easy, too; just go to: www.ccef90230.org. And thanks.

,

Kathy Paspalis

CCUSD Board Vice President and CCMS Mom
