Culver Completes Play In Summer Baseball League
A youthful Culver City High baseball team completed play in the South Bay Summer League, finishing in the middle of the pack.
Mira Costa, which was the No. 5 seed, won the championship with a 17-7 victory over Palos verdes.
Earlier in the playoffs Mira Costa edged Culver City, 4-3.
Three Culver City players were chosen for the league’s all-star game. All three, Nathaniel Matthews, Daniel Hennessy and Juan Alcala played in the game at Marine Park in Manhattan Beach.
