Police Add New Communication System

The Culver City Police Department is adding a new way to communicate with the community. It will utilize a communications service that allows for sending important valuable community information directly to residents using the latest technology. The system is named NIXLE and is very easy to use.

The NIXLE Community Information System allows the police to create and publish messages to be delivered to residents instantly via cell phone text message and /or email. Notification can also be accessed online at the NIXLE’s web site at hhtp://www.nixle.com /. The service is reliable and free for our community to use.

The messages can be sent specifically to residents registered within a ¼ mile radius, of an event or the whole city, giving them the opportunity to receive trustworthy information relevant to their neighborhood. Residents decide from which local agencies they want to receive information.

“NIXLE is a first-of-its-kind tool for communities that need to provide critical information to their residents,” said Craig Mitnick, Founder and CEO.

You can register for NIXLE at the Culver City Police Department’s website at www.culvercitypd.org
