Armed Robbers Hit Centinela Feed & Pet

Two young men were still at large this week after robbing the Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies store and its employees at 5299 S. Sepulveda Boulevard, making off with a reported $3,000 and pistol-whipping the store’s security guard.

The robbery occurred shortly before the store’s 8 p.m. Sunday closing time.

The security guard, who was not identified, was treated at Brotman Medical Center for head pains and then released. He is expected to fully recover, a hospital spokesperson said.

The two suspects were each described as black males in their late teens or early 20s, standing about 5-6 or 5-8. Each wore a black beanie cap and dark pants, with one sporting a black hoodie and the other wearing a red plaid shirt and black jacket.

The two were last seen running westward down neighboring Janisann Avenue, toward Sawtelle Boulevard.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Culver City Police Department at (310) 837-1221.
