June 5 through 11

Attempt Commercial Burglary:

On June 5 at 3:35 pm, officers responded to the 3900 block of Sawtelle Boulevard regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she said her husband responded to the location to retrieve his car at 7:30 am which was parked in the rear lot. As he arrived he saw that the rear door was ajar he checked the door and discovered the door had been forced open, but the interior security was still locked and secured and the suspect(s) were unable to gain entry into the business.

Car Burglary:

On June 5 at 10:22 pm a victim called the police department to report his 2011 Nissan had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 3800 block of Cardiff Ave. at 8 pm. When he returned at 9:30 pm he discovered his property missing.

Attempted Robbery:

On June 7 at 10:40 pm officers responded to Brotman Hospital regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was waiting for the bus in the 4100 block of Sepulveda Boulevard. He was approached by two male suspect(s) and demanded he empty his pockets. The victim said he began to struggle with the suspects when two more suspects blocked him in from leaving. The suspect(s) began hitting the victim, causing him to fall. The suspect(s) then fled the location. The suspects were described as male White, 25 years old, 5’11, 190 lbs with a pony tail, suspect #2 was described as a male Hispanic, 19 years old, 5’10, with a shaved head, suspect #3 was described as a male Black, 19-23 years old, wearing plaid shorts, suspect #4 was described as a male Black, 19-25 years old, NFD.

Residential Burglary:

On June 9 a victim called the police department to report her residence had been burglarized. The victim said she resides in the 4300 block of Keystone Ave. and left at 10 am and left her not securing the rear sliding door. When she returned at 11 am she discovered her property missing.

Street Robbery:

On June 10 at 9:10 pm officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was waiting for the bus when he was approached by two suspect(s). Suspect 1 produced a handgun and demanded his property. Fearing for his safety he gave the suspects his property. The suspects then fled the area. The suspects were described as male Blacks, 5’9 to 5’11, 160 lbs, NFD.
