To the Editor:

Thank you, CC Observer for your detailed coverage of fracking. From all appearances, this is a terribly dangerous process.

Shouldn't PXP and the other oil companies have to prove fracking is safe for humans, water and buildings before undertaking it? (The answer is yes)

I hope as many people as possible will show up to the meeting in the Culver City City Hall council chambers next Tuesday, June 12, at 7 p.m., when the State of California will attempt to convince us that fracking is perfectly safe. For those of us who are already convinced fracking is dangerous, let our voices be heard. For those needing more information, this is the time to ask questions.

For the more activist sorts among us, come take part in the protest in front of City Hall at 6 p.m.

Many of my friends favor a total ban on fracking--at best, throughout California. Otherwise, for L.A. County, and certainly, in Culver City.
