Police Blotter

for February 14 through 20

Vandalism:

On February 14 at 12 pm a victim called the police department to report her 2007 SAAB had been vandalized. The victim said the car was parked and locked in the 3800 block of Westwood Boulevard on February 13 at 10 pm. When she returned at 6 am the next day she found the rear passenger window had been smashed out.

Residential Burglary:

On February 16 at 9:40 pm officers responded to the 4000 block of Duquesne Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victims who told them the following; they all left their residence at 5 pm. They returned at 9 pm and discovered their property missing and the rear door open.

Stolen Vehicle:

On February 17 at 1:15 pm officers responded to the 5300 block of Mesmer Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he parked and secured the 1994 Honda at 8 pm and when he returned the next morning at 9 the vehicle was missing.


Street Robbery:

On February 18 at 7:28 pm officers responded to the 13400 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was working when he was approached by the suspect who was holding a knife in his left hand. The suspect then demanded his property, fearing for his safety he gave his property to the suspect. The suspect then entered a vehicle and fled the location. The suspect was described as a male Black, 20-25 years of age, 6’2, 200 lbs. and wearing a tee shirt and blue jeans.
