The Metro Construction Authority broke ground Tuesday on the second leg of the Exposition Rail Line from Culver City to Santa Monica. In attendance were Culver City Councilmember Scott Malsin (second from left) and Mayor Mehaul O’Leary (fourth from left) along with Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and councilmembers from Los Angeles and Santa Monica. The first phase from downtown Los Angeles to Culver City is scheduled to open next year with the full line opening planned for 2015.
