Boosters to Host 5th Annual Casino Night

February 9, 2011

The Culver City High School Booster Club will present its annual “Casino Night” fundraiser on Saturday, February 26.

The event will be held at Vets Auditorium from 6:30 .m. to 11:30. Advanced ticket sales are now available for $20/person and can be purchased from any booster club member, school athletic coach, or on-line (www.cchsboosters.com). The ticket price will increase to $25/person at the door. All money raised from this occasion goes towards Culver High clubs and athletics.

The historic auditorium will be transformed into a Las Vegas casino with gaming action taking place on actual casino tables generously supplied by LA Slots, Inc. They will also be providing real slot machines for our slot tournament. The evening is sure to deliver an outstanding entertainment value for the Culver City community.

“We encourage all Centaur parents, alumni, and the community to come out and have a good time playing blackjack, craps, and slots,” said Culver sports announcer/statistician Greg Dynabursky. “We had a tremendous turnout last year and we would like to exceed expectations.

Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the music and we have even more prizes for our auctions and raffle. We received a lot of positive feedback last year and I hope we can continue to grow.”

Local and national merchants and businesses have generously donated auction items and the sports teams will assemble themed gift baskets for the raffle. The boosters will provide guests hors d’ oeuvres along with a beer and wine bar and musical entertainment will contribute to the atmosphere of the event.

Gambling chips will be exchanged for raffle tickets with prizes being awarded throughout the evening. There will be many items for guests to bid on at both the silent and live auctions..

The Culver City High School Booster Club is a non-profit organization of parents and other community volunteers committed to supporting our students involved in sports and extra-curricular programs. Due to the difficult and painful state of the budget environment, booster club support is desperately needed by the schools to keep kids participating. Proceeds will be applied to capital projects to improve programs, facilities, and equipment for our students.

For further information on Casino Night, check out their website at www.cchsboosters.comwhich accepts PayPal for those wishing to purchase tickets on-line. The organization is also soliciting additional auction items, food donations, and table sponsorships as well as volunteers to work the event. Please e-mail info@cchsboosters.comif support in these areas can be provided.
