Car Vandalized in Fox Hills
Sept. 20: Culver officers responded at 8:35 a.m. to the 6500 block of Green Valley Circle in Fox Hills, where the victim said that her car had been vandalized. The victim said she had parked and locked her car about two days earlier. When she returned, both the windshield and driver’s side window were shattered.
Stolen Auto on City’s Eastside
Sept. 20: At 4:15 p.m., officers responded to the 8700 block of Washington Boulevard on Culver’s Eastside after a man said that his car had been stolen. Officers met with the victim, who said he parked and locked his 1994 Acura at 8:00 a.m. but that it was gone when he returned to the spot in the afternoon. The victim said he gave no one permission to drive his car.
Armed Robbery near Border of Culver City and Palms
Sept. 16: At 7:50 p.m., officers responded to a robbery investigation near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Sawtelle Boulevard. The victim stated that she was walking when a male suspect approached her from behind and stopped her. The suspect was holding a knife and demanded her purse. The victim gave the suspect her purse and he fled the area.
Commercial Burglary, Also Near Border of Culver and Palms
Sept. 15: Officers responded to a burglary investigation at a business in the 3800 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, just south of Venice Boulevard, at 5:10 p.m. The ensuing investigation revealed that an unknown suspect or suspects had entered the business through a door and removed a computer.
Stolen Car, Sepulveda near Mesmer Avenue
Sept. 14: At 8:20 am, officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard to conduct a grand theft auto investigation. The officers met with the victim, who told them that she parked and locked her vehicle at 7:00 p.m. the night before and that it was gone the next morning. The vehicle was described as a 2003 Chevy Tahoe.
